TheAdvanceTracsystemhelpsthedrivermaintainthestabilityand
steer-abilityofthevehicle.Thesystemintegratesanti-lockbraking
system(ABS)andTractionControl™andamoreadvancedfunctionto
furtherenhancethestabilityofthevehicle.
AdvanceTracconstantlymonitorsthevehiclemotionrelativetothe
driver’sintendedcourse.Thisisdonebyusingaddedsensorsthat
comparethesteeringinputsfromthedriverwiththeactualmotionof
thevehicle.AdvanceTracdetermineswhetheranenginetorque
reductionorbrakeapplicationisneededtohelpcontrolthevehicle.If
thevehiclebeginstorotateexcessivelyleftorright,spinout,orslide
sideways,thesystemwillattempttocorrecttheexcessivemotion.Ifthe
vehicledoesnotrespondtosteeringinputs,thesystemwillattemptto
increasetheturningresponseofthevehicle.
AdvanceTracenhancesyourvehicle’sstabilityduringmaneuversthat
requireallavailabletiretraction,likeinwet/snowy/icyroadconditions
and/orwhenperformingemergencymaneuvers.Inanemergency
lane-change,thedriverwillexperiencebetteroverallvehicletraction,
andhavebettercontrolofthevehicle.
