TheairbagSRSisdesignedtoactivatewhenthevehiclesustainslateral
decelerationsufficienttocausethesensorstocloseanelectricalcircuit
thatinitiatesairbaginflation.
Thefactthattheairbagsdidnotinflateinacollisiondoesnotmeanthat
somethingiswrongwiththesystem.Rather,itmeanstheforceswere
notofthetypesufficienttocauseactivation.Sideairbagsaredesigned
toinflateinside-impactcollisions,notroll-over,rear-impact,frontalor
near-frontalcollisions,unlessthecollisioncausessufficientlateral
deceleration.
Severalairbagsystemcomponentsgethotafterinflation.Donot
touchthemafterinflation.
Ifthesideairbaghas
deployed,theairbagwill
notfunctionagain.Theside
airbagsystem(includingthe
seat)mustbeinspectedand
servicedbyanauthorized
dealer.Iftheairbagisnot
replaced,theunrepairedareawill
increasetheriskofinjuryina
collision.
Safety Canopy™ system
Donotplaceobjectsor
mountequipmentonor
neartheheadlineratthesiderail
thatmaycomeintocontactwitha
deployingSafetyCanopy™.
Failuretofollowtheseinstructions
mayincreasetheriskofpersonal
injuryintheeventofacollision.
