Important supplemental restraint system precautions
AirbagsDONOTinflateslowlyor
gentlyandtheriskofinjuryfroma
deployingairbagisgreatestcloseto
thetrimcoveringtheairbagmodule.
Alloccupantsofthevehicle,includingthedriver,shouldalways
properlyweartheirsafetybelts,evenwhenanairbag
supplementalrestraintsystem(SRS)isprovided.
Alwaystransportchildren12yearsoldandunderintheback
seatandalwaysproperlyuseappropriatechildrestraints.
NationalHighwayTrafficSafetyAdministration(NHTSA)
recommendsaminimumdistanceofatleast10inches(25cm)
betweenanoccupant’schestandthedriverairbagmodule.
Neverplaceyourarmovertheairbagmoduleasadeploying
airbagcanresultinseriousarmfracturesorotherinjuries.
