Aggressivedrivinginanyroadconditionscancauseyoutolose
controlofyourvehicleincreasingtheriskofseverepersonal
injuryorpropertydamage.TheoccurrenceofaTractionControl™
eventisanindicationthatatleastsomeofthetireshaveexceeded
theirabilitytogriptheroad;thismayleadtoanincreasedriskofloss
ofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjuryanddeath.Ifyou
experienceasevereroadevent,SLOWDOWN.
STEERING
Tohelppreventdamagetothepowersteeringsystem,neverholdthe
steeringwheelatitsfurthestturningpoints(untilitstops)formorethan
afewsecondswhentheengineisrunning.
Itisalsoimportanttomaintainaproperpowersteeringfluidlevelinthe
powersteeringfluidreservoir:

Donotoperatethevehiclewithalowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevel.
SeeCheckingandaddingpowersteeringfluidintheMaintenance

Somenoiseisnormalduringoperation.Ifthenoiseisexcessive,check
forlowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevelbeforeseekingservicebyyour
authorizeddealer.
Heavyorunevensteeringeffortsmaybecausedbylowpowersteering
pumpfluidlevel.Checkforlowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevelbefore
seekingservicebyyourauthorizeddealer.

Donotfillthepowersteeringpumpreservoirabovethemaximum
level,asthismayresultinleaksfromthereservoir.SeeCheckingand
addingpowersteeringfluidintheMaintenanceandSpecifications

Ifthepowersteeringsystembreaksdown(oriftheengineisturned
off),youcansteerthevehiclemanually,butittakesmoreeffort.
