malfunctionintheelectricalsystemandthe
liftgatecannotbeunlocked,performthe
followingprocedureasanemergencymeasure
tounlockit:
Theliftgatecanbelocked/unlockedby
operatingthekeylessentrysystem
transmitter,refertoKeylessEntrySystem
(page3-22).

Removethecapontheinteriorsurfaceof
theliftgatewithaflatheadscrewdriver.
qLocking,UnlockingwithDoor-
LockSwitch
Theliftgatecanbelocked/unlockedby
operatingthedoor-lockswitch,referto
PowerDoorLocks(page3-27).
Cap
qOpeningandClosingtheLiftgate
Manuallyopeningtheliftgate
WARNING
Alwaysfullyopentheliftgatewhen
openingit:
Raisingtheliftgateonlypartiallyis
dangerousasitcoulddrop
unexpectedlyresultingininjury.
Pulluponthehandle.
