Iceorsnowadherestothesurfaceoftheoutsidemirrors.

Thedoorwindowglassisdarkened.
l
qBSMWarningLight/Beep
BSMwarningbeep
Thewarningbeepoperateswhentheturn
signalleverisoperatedtoeitherside
wheretheBSMwarninglightis
illuminated.
BSMwarninglight
Equippedontheleftandrightdoor
mirrors.
NOTE
ThesystemcanbecustomizedsothattheBSM
warningbeepdoesnotoperate.Consultan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
qBSMOFFIndicatorLight
Thiswarninglightilluminatesforafew
secondswhentheignitionswitchisturned
totheONposition.
IftheBSMsystemdetectsavehicleinthe
detectionareawhilethevehicleisdriven
ataspeedofabout32km/h(20mph)or
more,theBSMwarninglightilluminates
onthesideofthevehiclewheretherear
on-comingvehicleisdetected.
Thisindicatorlightilluminatesforafew
secondswhentheignitionswitchisturned
totheONposition.
TheBSMOFFindicatorlightilluminates
whentheBSMsystemisturnedoffby
pressingtheBSMOFFswitch.
TheindicatorlightflashesiftheBSM
systemhasamalfunction.Consultan

NOTE
Ificeorsnowadheretotheoutermirror

surface,theBSMwarninglightmaynotbe
visible.
NOTE
Ifthedoorwindowglassisdarkened,it
mayaffectthevisibilityoftheBSMwarning
light,makingitdifficulttoconfirmthe
illuminationofthelight.

Ifthevehicleisdrivenonaroadwithless
trafficandfewvehiclesthattheradarsensors
candetect,thesystemmaypause(TheBSM
OFFindicatorlightintheinstrumentpanel
flashes).However,itdoesnotindicatea
malfunction.
