TheBlindSpotMonitoring(BSM)systemisdesignedtoassistthedriverbymonitoring
blindspotsonbothsidesofthevehicletotherearincertainsituationssuchaswhen
changinglanesonroadsandfreeways.
TheBSMsystemmonitorsthedetectionareasonbothsidesofthevehicletotherearwhen
thevehiclespeedisabout32km/h(20mph)ormore,andnotifiesthedriverofvehiclesin
thedetectionareabyilluminatingtheBSMwarninglight.
IftheturnsignalleverisoperatedinthedirectiontheBSMwarninglightisilluminated,the
systemwarnsthedriverofthevehicleinthedetectionareawithabeepsound.

DonotrelycompletelyontheBSMsystemandbesuretolookoveryourshoulder
beforechanginglanes:
TheBSMsystemcanassistthedriverinconfirmingthesafetyofthesurroundings
butisnotacompletesubstitute.Thedriverisresponsibleforassuringlanechanges
andothermaneuvers.Alwayspayattentiontothedirectioninwhichthevehicleis
travelingandthevehicle'ssurroundings.
NOTE
TheBSMsystemdoesnotoperatewhenthevehiclespeedislowerthanabout32km/h(20mph).
