The direct route to driving enjoyment
The best power steering gives you help when you need it,
and feel when you want it. The SL’s standard parameter
steering, for instance, varies the level of assistance as
your speed changes, guaranteeing effortless parking in
town as well as optimum stability in motorway driving.
The optional direct steering system is even more intelli-
gent. By automatically reducing the amount of lock
required to turn the wheels, it makes for safer and sportier
cornering, and even easier low-speed manoeuvring,
while automatically increasing steering weight at speed.
Not that you’ll notice it at work. You’ll be too busy enjoying
the road.
