equipmentinstalledinyourvehicleshouldcomplywithFCCorCRTC
regulationsandshouldbeinstalledonlybyaqualifiedservice
technician.
Mobilecommunicationssystemsmayharmtheoperationofyour
vehicle,particularlyiftheyarenotproperlydesignedforautomotive
useorarenotproperlyinstalled.Whenoperated,suchsystemsmay
causetheenginetostumbleorstallorcausethetransmissiontobe
damagedoroperateimproperly.Inaddition,suchsystemsmaybe
damagedortheirperformancemaybeaffectedbyoperatingyour
vehicle.Ifyouintendonfittingamobileradiosuchasacitizensband
radio(CB),pleaserefertoyourlocaldealerforFordrecommended
installationguidelines.Askyoudealertoreferencethe“FordMobile
RadioInstallationGuidelines.”(Citizensband[CB]transceivers,garage
dooropenersandothertransmitterswithoutputsoffivewattsorless
willnotordinarilyaffectyourvehicle’soperation.)
