qDSCOFFSwitch
NOTE
PresstheDSCOFFswitchtoturnoffthe
TCS/DSC.TheDSCOFFindicatorlight
willilluminate.
Ifthebatteryisdisconnectedorafuseis
replaced,theDSCwillbeinoperable.In
thiscase,theDSCOFFindicatorlight
flashesandtheTCS/DSCindicatorlight
illuminates.
TomaketheDSCoperable,dothe
followingprocedurewiththebattery
connected.

TurntheignitionswitchtotheON
position.
Turnthesteeringclockwisefully,
thenturnitcounterclockwisefully.
MakesuretheDSCOFFindicator
goesoff.
PresstheswitchagaintoturntheTCS/
DSCbackon.TheDSCOFFindicator
lightwillgoout.
TurntheignitionswitchtotheOFF
position,thenturnittotheON
positionagain.
NOTE

MakesuretheTCS/DSCindicator
lightgoesoff.
WhenDSCisonandyouattemptto
l
freethevehiclewhenitisstuck,or
driveitoutoffreshlyfallensnow,
theTCS(partoftheDSCsystem)
willactivate.Depressingthe
acceleratorwillnotincreaseengine
powerandfreeingthevehiclemay
bedifficult.
IftheTCS/DSCindicatorlightandthe
DSCOFFindicatorlightremain
illuminatedevenafterturningthe
ignitionswitchtotheONposition,
consultanAuthorizedMazdaDealer.
Whenthishappens,turnofftheTCS/
DSC.
IftheTCS/DSCisoffwhenthe

engineisturnedoff,itautomatically
activateswhentheignitionswitchis
turnedon.
LeavingtheTCS/DSConwill
l
providethebeststability.Whenthe
TCS/DSCisoff,theTCS/DSCdoes
notactivatebutthebrakeLSD
(LimitedSlipDifferentials)function
remains.
