whenthestartknobhasnotbeenreturned
totheLOCKpositiontonotifythedriver
thattheadvancedkeyhasbeenremoved.
TheKEYwarninglight(red)willstop
flashingwhentheadvancedkeyisback
insidethevehicle:
Ifanymalfunctionoccursintheadvanced
keylessfunction,theKEYwarninglight
(red)intheinstrumentclusterilluminates
continuouslyandbeepsoundswillbe
heard.
CAUTION
Thestartknobhasnotbeenreturnedto
IftheKEYwarninglight(red)remains
illuminated,donotcontinuetodrivethe
vehiclewiththeadvancedkeyless
function.Parkthevehicleinasafe
placeandusetheauxiliarykeyto
continuedrivingthevehicle.Havethe
vehicleinspectedatanAuthorized
MazdaDealerassoonaspossible.
RefertoIgnitionSwitch(page5-2).

areclosedafterremovingtheadvanced
keyfromthevehicle.
IfthestartknobisintheACCposition
andthedriver'sdoorisopened,a
continuousbeepsoundwillbeheardto
notifythedriverthatthestartknobhasnot
beenreturnedtotheLOCKposition.In
thiscase,thekeylessentrysystemdoes
notoperate.
NOTE
Becausetheadvancedkeyutilizeslow-
intensityradiowaves,theAdvanced
KeyRemovedFromVehicleWarning
mayactivateiftheadvancedkeyis
carriedtogetherwithametalobjectorit
isplacedinapoorsignalreceptionarea.
