Becauseheavyiceandsnowcanjam
thewiperblades,thewipermotoris
protectedfrommotorbreakdown,
overheatingandpossiblefirebya
circuitbreaker.Thismechanismwill
automaticallystopoperationofthe
blades,butonlyforabout5minutes.
Ifthishappens,turnoffthewiper
switchandparkofftheright-of-way,
andremovethesnowandice.
After5minutes,turnontheswitchand
thebladesshouldoperatenormally.If
theydon'tresumefunctioning,consult
anAuthorizedMazdaDealerassoonas
possible.Drivetothesideoftheroad
andparkofftheright-of-way.Waituntil
theweatherclearsbeforetryingtodrive
withthewipersinoperative.
TheignitionswitchmustbeintheON
position.
WARNING
SubstituteWasherFluid:
Usingradiatorantifreezeaswasher
fluidisdangerous.Ifsprayedonthe
windshield,itwilldirtythewindshield,
affectyourvisibility,andcouldresult
inanaccident.Useonlywindshield
washerfluidorplainwaterinthe
reservoir.
FrozenWasherFluid:
Usingwindshieldwasherfluidwithout
anti-freezeprotectioninfreezing
temperaturesisdangerous.The
washerfluidcouldfreezeonthe
windshieldandblockyourvision.You
couldhaveanaccident.Don'tusethe
washerwithoutfirstwarmingthe
windshieldandneveruseplaintap
water.
