Unlocking/locking in an emergency
Fuel filler flap emergency release
Manually unlocking the transmission
selector lever
In case the central locking system does
not release the fuel filler flap, you can open
it manually.
In case of power failure, the transmission
selector lever can be manually unlocked,
e.g. to tow the vehicle.

Locking

Remove the mechanical key 2 out of
the SmartKey (୴ page 379).

Insert the mechanical key into the driv-
er’s door lock until it stops.

Release knob
1 Selector lever cover
2 Release
Turn the mechanical key clockwise to
position 1.
Open trunk lid.

Remove right-side tail trim.
̈
̈
Depress parking brake firmly.
The driver’s door is locked.
̈
Pull release knob 1 in the direction of
arrow.
Push selector lever cover 1 to the
right and remove by pulling it upward. ୴୴
The fuel filler flap can know be opened.
