caughtinaclosingdoor,itcould
resultindeathorseriousinjury.
Thepowerliftgatemaynotopen/close
electricallyifthevehicleisparkedonan
incline,orthereisstrongwind,orthe
liftgateisladenwithsnow.
Thepowerliftgatewillnotoperateunlessit
isunlocked.Thepowerliftgatedoesnot
operateunlessitisunlockedusingthe
powerdoorlockfunction.

CAUTION
ØWhenclosingthepowerliftgate,
makesuretherearenoforeign
objectsaroundthestriker.If
foreignobjectsareobstructingthe
striker,theliftgatemaynotclose
properly.

Ifapowerliftgatesystemfusehasblown,
theliftgatecannotbeopenedusingthe
powerliftgateswitchortheouterhandle
(liftgate).
Usetheemergencylevertoopenthe
liftgate.
Fullyclosethepowerliftgatebefore
disconnectingthevehiclebattery.Ifthe
batteryisdisconnectedwiththeliftgate
open,itcannotbeopenedorclosed
automaticallyafterthebatteryis
reconnected.
