Usetheauxiliarykeystoredinthe
advancedkeyintheeventofadead
transmitterbatteryormalfunction.
Removingtheauxiliarykey
Powerliftgatebutton
Pullouttheauxiliarykeyfromthe
advancedkey.
IfyourMazdahasapowerliftgate(page
3-30),
thetransmittercanopen/closethe
liftgate.
Panicbutton
Ifyouwitnessfromadistancesomeone
attemptingtobreakintoordamageyour
vehicle,pressingthepanicbuttonwill
activatethevehicle'salarm.
NOTE
Thepanicbuttonwillworkwhetheranydoor
ortheliftgateisopenorclosed.
(Turningonthealarm)
Locking,unlockingthedoors
Pressingthepanicbuttonfor1secondor
morewilltriggerthealarmforabout2
minutesand30seconds,andthe
followingwilloccur:
Thedoorscanbelocked/unlockedusing
theauxiliarykey,refertoLocking,
UnlockingwithKey(page3-26).
Thehornsoundsintermittently.
Thehazardwarninglightsflash.

Startingtheengine

(Turningoffthealarm)
Thealarmstopsbypressinganybuttonon
thetransmitter.
Theenginecanbestartedwiththe
auxiliarykey,refertoIgnitionSwitch
(page5-2).
Locking,unlockingtheglovebox
Thegloveboxcanbelocked/unlocked
usingtheauxiliarykey,refertoGlove
Box(page6-128).
