WARNING
Alwaysuselowergearstoreducespeed:
Holdingthebrakepedaldowntoolongortoofrequentlyisdangerousasitcould
causethebrakestooverheatandlosepower,resultinginlossofcontrolanda
seriousaccident.Uselowergearstohelpreducespeed.Pullofftheroadandallow
brakestocooldownwheneverbrakingperformancefeelsreduced.
Overheatedengine
Theextraweightofthetrailermaystraintheengineonhotdaysandonlongorsteep
upgrades.
Ifthetemperaturegaugeindicatesoverheating,turnofftheairconditioner,drivesafelyto
thesideoftheroad,parkofftheright-of-wayandwaitforenginetocool.Referto
Overheating(page7-14).
Parking
Alwaysmakesurethetiresofthetrailerandthetowvehicleareblockedwhileparked.
ApplytheparkingbrakefirmlyandputthetransaxleinP.
Avoidparkingonanincline,butifyoumust,followtheseinstructions:

Haveahelperputwheelblocksagainstthedownhillsideofallvehicleandtrailertires.
Thenreleasethebrakepedalslowlyuntiltheblocksbeartheload.

ShiftthetransaxleintoP,andstoptheengine.
