flattirebeltinthecargosub-compartment
(page7-11).

Ifthetemporarysparetireisnot
reinstalledinthesparetirecarrier,
tightenthesparetirecarrierbolt
completelytowindupthesparetire
carriercable.

Donotloosenthecabletoomuchas
thismaycausedamagetothespare
tirecarrier.

Rotatethesmallleverontopofthe
retainingplateandpulltheretaining
plateoutfromthecenterholeofthe
tire.
WARNING
Alwaystightenthesparetirecarrier
boltcompletelytightandmakesure
thesparetireislockedinthehighest
position:
Aloosesparetirecarrierboltis
dangerous.Thecablecouldbecut
causingthesparetiretofalloff.This
couldresultinsomeonebeing
seriouslyinjuredorevenkilled.Usea
lugwrenchtotightenthecarrierbolt
andmakesuretotightenituntila
clicksoundisheard.
