AlternateProcedure
Whenshiftingintooroutof4WDLOW,somegearnoise
maybeheard.Thisnoiseisnormalandisnotdetrimental
tothevehicleoritsoccupants.
1.
Bringthevehicletoacompletestop.
2. With the ignition switch in the ON position, and the
engine OFF or RUNNING, shift the transmission into
NEUTRAL.
Shifting can be performed with the vehicle rolling 2 to
3
mph(3to5km/h)usingthe“PreferredProcedure”or
completelystoppedusingthe“AlternateProcedure.”
3. Movethetransfercaseswitchtothedesiredposition.

flashing),shiftthetransmissionintogear.
