The AirMATIC air suspension system can
be raised to give the GL a ground clearance
of 307mm and a maximum fording depth
of 600mm, ensuring shallow streams and
stony ground can be tackled with confidence.
The ESP and 4ETS systems also adapt to
the requirements of rough terrain driving,
reprogramming the timing of braking inter-
ventions in off-road driving and raising the
7G-Tronic transmission’s shift points.
