Anti-Lock(ABS)WarningLight
Afterignitionisturnedon,illuminatestoindicate
functioncheckatvehiclestart-up.Iflightremains
If the parking brake is applied and the vehicle is in
motion,theredBRAKEwarninglightwill“flash”anda
chimewillsound.
onafterstart-uporcomesonandstaysonatroadspeeds,
itmayindicatethattheABShasdetectedamalfunction
or has become inoperative. The system reverts to stan-
dardnon-anti-lockbrakes.
The operation of the BRAKE warning light can be
checked by turning the ignition switch from the OFF
positiontotheONposition.Thelightshouldilluminate
for approximately two seconds. The light should then 4
turn off unless the parking brake is applied or a brake
faultisdetected.Ifthelightdoesnotilluminate,havethe
lightinspectedbyanauthorizeddealer.
IfboththeredBRAKEwarninglightandtheamberABS
warninglightareon,seeyourdealerimmediately.Refer
to“Anti-LockBrakeSystem”inSection5ofthismanual.

22. LowFuelWarningLight
Afterignitionisturnedon,illuminatestoindicate
functioncheckatvehiclestart-up.Indicatespark-
ingbrakeisapplied.Ifthelightstaysonwhenthe
parkingbrakeisoff,itindicatesapossiblebrakesystem
fluid leak or low pressure level, see your authorized
dealerimmediately.
When the fuel level reaches approximately 2 U.S.
Gallons(7.6L)thislightwillcomeonandremainon
untilfuelisadded.The“LowFuelWarningLight”
may turn on and off again, especially during and after
hardbraking,accelerations,orturns.Thisoccursdueto
theshiftingofthefuelinthetank.
