2. Removethehardtop.Referto“HardTopRemoval”in
thissection.
If your vehicle is equipped with a Dual Top, you must
remove one of the tops from the vehicle. The soft top
was installed at the factory for shipping purposes only.
Thesofttopandthehardtoparetobeusedindepen-
dently. Removal is mandatory to prevent any possible
wearandtearonthesofttop,shouldbothtopsremainon
thevehicleatthesametime.

Remove the soft top bow assembly pivot bracket
screws(2persideforWrangler,1persideforUnlimited
models)usinga#30Torx௡headdriver.

Locate and remove the 2 boxes that  contain the
followingitems:

doorframeattachmentknobs(4)
rightandleftquarterwindows
reartailgatewindow
