THINGSTOKNOWBEFORESTARTINGYOURVEHICLE

ToManuallyLocktheSteeringWheel

DOORSANDLOCKS

With the engine running, rotate the steering wheel 1/2

revolution from straight ahead position, turn off the

engine and remove the key. Rotate the steering wheel

slightlyinbothdirectionsuntilthelockengages.

NOTE: Theignitionkeythatisusedtostartthevehicle

isusedtolockorunlockthedoors,tailgate,andconsole

storage.

To unlock doors and tailgate insert the key and turn.

Once unlocked, the tailgate can be opened or closed

withoutusingthekey.

ToReleasetheSteeringWheelLock

Insertthekeyintheignitionandturnthewheelslightly

totherightorlefttodisengagethelock.

Toopenthetailgate,liftthelatchreleaseandswingopen

thetailgate.

NOTE: If you turned the wheel to the right to engage

thelock,youmustturnthewheelslightlytotherightto

disengageit.Ifyouturnedthewheeltothelefttoengage

thelock,turnthewheelslightlytothelefttodisengageit.
