ENGINE COOLANT
Checking engine coolant
Theconcentrationandlevelofenginecoolantshouldbecheckedatthe
intervalslistedinscheduledmaintenance.Thecoolantconcentration
shouldbemaintainedat50/50coolantandwater,whichequatestoa
freezepointof-34°F(-36°C).Coolantconcentrationtestingispossible
withahydrometerorantifreezetester.Thelevelofcoolantshouldbe
maintainedattheFULLCOLDlevelorwithintheCOLDFILLRANGEin
thecoolantreservoir.Ifthelevelfallsbelow,addcoolantperthe
instructionsintheAddingenginecoolantsection.
Yourvehiclewasfactory-filledwitha50/50enginecoolantandwater
concentration.Iftheconcentrationofcoolantfallsbelow40%orabove
60%,
