SECURILOCKி PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM

TheSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystemprovidesanadvancedlevelof

vehicletheftprotection.Yourvehicle’senginecanonlybestartedwith

thetwospecialSecuriLock௢electronicallycodedkeysprovidedwith

yourvehicle.Eachtimeyoustartyourvehicle,theSecuriLock௢keyis

readbytheSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystem.IftheSecuriLock௢

keyidentificationcodematchesthecodestoredintheSecuriLock௢

anti-theftsystem,thevehicle’sengineisallowedtostart.Ifthe

SecuriLock௢keyidentificationcodedoesnotmatchthecodestoredin

thesystemorifaSecuriLock௢keyisnotdetected(vehicletheft

situation),thevehicle’senginewillnotoperate.

IfthereisanypotentialSecuriLock௢anti-theftproblemwithyour

vehicle,ensureALLSecuriLock௢keysforthatvehiclearebroughtto

thedealership,toaidintroubleshooting.

TheSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystemisnotcompatiblewith

aftermarketremotestartsystems.Useofthesesystemsmayresultin

vehiclestartingproblemsandalossofsecurityprotection.Largemetallic

objects,asecondkeyorelectronicdevicesusedtopurchasegasolineor

similaritemsonthesamekeyringasthePATSignitionkeymaycause

vehiclestartingproblems.Ifpresent,youneedtokeeptheseobjects

fromtouchingthePATSignitionkeywhilestartingtheengine.These

objectscannotdamagethePATSignitionkey,butcancausea

momentaryproblemiftheyaretooclosetothekeyduringenginestart.

Ifaproblemoccurs,turntheignitionOFFandrestarttheenginewithall

otherobjectsonthekeyringheldawayfromtheignitionkey.Checkto

makesuretheencodedignitionkeyisanapprovedFordencoded

ignitionkey.

SpareSecuriLock௢keyscanbepurchasedfromyourdealershipand

programmedtoyourSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystem.Referto

ProgrammingspareSecuriLock௢keysformoreinformation.

IfoneorbothofyourSecuriLock௢keysarelostorstolenandyouwant

toensurethelostorstolenkeywillnotoperateyourvehicle,bringyour

vehicleandallavailableSecuriLock௢keystoyourdealershipfor

reinitialization.
