Thissystemisnotdesignedtopreventcontactwithsmallor
movingobjects.Thesystemisdesignedtoprovideawarningto
assistthedriverindetectinglargestationaryobjectstoavoiddamaging
thevehicle.Thesystemmaynotdetectsmallerobjects,particularly
thoseclosetotheground.
TheRSSwillassistthedriverindetectingcertainobjectswhilethe
vehicleslowlymovesinreverseatspeedslessthan6km/h(4mph).The
RSSisnoteffectiveatspeedsgreaterthan6km/h(4mph)andmaynot
detectcertainangularormovingobjects.
Thereversesensingsystemdetects
obstacleswithinapproximately
1.8
meters(5.9ft.)oftherear
bumperwithadecreasedcoverage
areaattheoutercornersofthe
bumper,(refertothefiguresfor
approximatezonecoverageareas).
Asyoumoveclosertotheobstacle,
therateofthetoneincreases.When
thedistancetotheobstacleisless
than25.0cm(10in.),thetonewill
soundcontinuously.Ifthesystem
detectsastationaryorreceding
objectfurtherthan25.0cm(10in.)
fromthesideofthevehicle,the
tonewillsoundforonlythree
seconds.Oncethesystemdetects
anobjectapproaching,thetonewill
soundagain.
