Cleaning the exterior lamps
Washwiththesamedetergentastheexteriorofyourvehicle.If
necessary,useatarremoversuchasFordExtraStrengthTarandRoad
OilRemover(B7A-19520–AA).
Toavoidscratchingthelamps,donotuseadrypapertowel,chemical
solventsorabrasivecleaners.
Cleaning the wiper blades, windshield and rear window
Ifthewiperbladesdonotwipeproperly,cleanthewiperbladerubber
elementwithundilutedwindshieldwashersolutionoramilddetergent.
Toavoiddamagingtheblades,donotusefuel,kerosene,paintthinneror
othersolvents.
Ifthewiperstilldoesnotwipeproperly,thiscouldbecausedby
substancesonthewindshieldorrearwindowsuchastreesapandsome
hotwaxtreatmentsusedbycommercialcarwashes.Cleantheoutsideof
thewindshieldorrearwindowwithanon-abrasivecleanersuchasFord
Ultra-ClearSprayGlassCleaner,(E4AZ-19C507–AA),availablefromyour
FordDealer.Donotuseabrasivecleansersonglassastheymaycause
scratches.Thewindshieldorrearwindowiscleanifbeadsdonotform
whenyourinseitwithwater.Thewindshield,rearwindowandwiper
bladesshouldbecleanedonaregularbasis,andbladesorrubber
elementsreplacedwhenworn.
Cleaning seats equipped with side air bags
Removedustandloosedirtwithawhiskbroomoravacuumcleaner.
Removefreshspotsimmediately.Followthedirectionsthatcomewith
thecleaner.Donotsaturatetheseatcoverwithupholsterycleaner.
Donotusechemicalsolventsorstrongdetergentswhencleaning
theseatmountedsideairbag.Suchproductscouldcontaminate
thesideairbagsystemandaffectperformanceofthesideairbagina
collision.
Cleaning the instrument panel
Cleanwithadampcloth,thendrywithadrycloth.
Avoidcleanerorpolishthatincreasestheglossoftheupperportionof
theinstrumentpanel.Thedullfinishinthisareahelpsprotectthedriver
fromundesirablewindshieldreflection.
