WARNING
Donotdrivewiththetailgateopen;
poisonouscarbonmonoxidefumeswill
enterthevehicle.
Alwayscheckthatthetailgateissecure
beforedrivingandbeforeleavingthe
vehicleunattended.
OPENINGTHETAILGATE
Withthevehicleunlocked,presstherelease
buttononcetoreleasetheuppertailgate.
NOTE:Thereisahandlebuiltintothelower
edgeoftheuppertailgatetoassistinopening
andclosing.
Withtheuppertailgateopen,presstherelease
buttonagaintoreleasethelowertailgate,
whichcanthenbeloweredtothehorizontal
position.
NOTE:Thetailgatecannotbeopenedifthe
vehiclebatteryisflatordisconnected.Ifthis
occurs,accesstotheloadspacecanonlybe
achievedbyfoldingtherearseatsfrominside
thevehicle(see’Seats’).
