Limp Home Procedures
Ifyoucannotstartyourengineinspiteoflimp
homeprocedure,haveyourvehicletowedby
an authorized Hyundai dealer.
In case the immobilizer system is out of order,
you cannot start the engine without the limp
home procedures with ignition key.
The following procedure is how to start the en-
gine with the function of the limp home. (0, 1, 2,

You can get the limp home password when
the vehicle is first delivered to you. If you do
not have the password, consult your autho-
rized Hyundai dealer.

Unlocked doors can be dangerous. Be-
foreyoudriveaway(especiallyifthereare
children in the car), be sure that all the
doors are securely closed and locked so
that the doors cannot be inadvertently
openedfromtheinside.Thishelpsensure
thatthedoorswillnotbeopenedacciden-
tally.Also,whencombinedwiththeproper
use of seat belts, locking the doors helps
keep occupants from being ejected from
the car in case of an accident.

. Tosetthepassword,youmayturntheignition
key "ON" and then turn it "OFF" according to
thedigitnumbers.Forexample,turntheigni-
tion key once for digit number "1", and twice
for "2", and so on. However, for the digit
number"0",youmustturntheignitionkeyfor

metal tag attached to the keys when the vehicle
is first delivered to you.

a safe place in case the need to order further
keys arises. New keys are available from any
Hyundaidealerbyquotingtherelevantkeynum-
ber.

to the keys which bears the key number should
be removed from the key ring after you receive
yournewvehicle.Inaddition,keynumberscan-
notbeprovidedbyHyundaiforsecurityreasons.
If you need additional keys or if you should lose
your keys, your authorized Hyundai dealer can
make new keys.

Before opening the door, always look for
