SRS (AIRBAG) SERVICE
OIL PRESSURE WARNING
LAMP
IfthebothABSSRIandParkingBrake/Brake
fluid level warning lights remain "ON" or
come on while driving, there may be a prob-
lemwithE.B.D(Electronicbrakeforcedistri-
bution).
If this occurs, avoid sudden stops and have
yourvehiclecheckedbyyourHyundaidealer
as soon as possible.
REMINDER INDICATOR (SRI)
TheSRSservicereminderindicator(SRI)comes
on and flashes for about 6 seconds after the
ignitionkeyisturnedtothe"ON"positionorafter
the engine is started, after which it will go out.
CAUTION:
If the oil pressure lamp illuminates when the
engineisrunning,aninsufficientoilpressure
level for continued safe operation of the en-
gine exists. Continued operation of the en-
gine in this condition may result in serious
enginedamage.
This light also comes on when the SRS is not
workingproperly.IftheSRIdoesnotcomeonor
illuminatescontinuouslywhentheignitionkeyis
turnedto"ON",orcontinuouslyremainsonafter
flashingforabout6secondswhenyouturnedthe
ignition key to the "ON" position or started the
engine, or if it comes on while driving, have the
SRSinspectedbyanauthorizedHyundaiDealer.

TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR
Under normal circumstances, the lamp will illu-
minatewhentheignitionisturned"on"andwillbe
extinguished when the engine is started.
Iftheoilpressurewarninglampilluminateswhilst
the engine is running, stop the engine immedi-
atelyandchecktheengineoillevel.Ifthelevelis
insufficient, add the required amount of oil as
indicated by the engine oil dipstick. If the lamp
fails to extinguish when the engine is restarted,
do not continue to operate the vehicle.
LAMPS
Operation of a turn signal is indicated by the
warninglamplocatedintheinstrumentcluster.If
the lamp fails to illuminate or does not flash, a
malfunctionwithintheturnsignalsystemisindi-
cated.

ABS SERVICE REMINDER IN-
DICATOR (Not all models)

When the key is turned to the "ON" position, the
Anti-Lock Brake System SRI will come on and
then go off in a few seconds. If the ABS SRI
remains on, comes on while driving, or does not
come on when the key is turned to the "ON"
position,thisindicatesthattheremaybeaprob-
lem with the ABS.
HIGH BEAM INDICATOR
Iftheoilpressurelampilluminatesduringnormal
operation and the cause is not an insufficient oil
level, or the lamp fails to illuminate when the
ignitionisturned"on",contactthenearestHyundai
dealer before further operating the vehicle.
LAMP
The high beam indicator lamp will illuminate
whenever the headlamps are switched to high
beam of flash position.
Ifthisoccurs,haveyourvehiclecheckedbyyour
Hyundaidealerassoonaspossible.Thenormal
braking system will still be operational, but with-
outtheassistanceoftheanti-lockbrakesystem.
