Reminder Indicator (SRI) Light
When the key is turned to the "ON" position, the
4WD(FourWheelDrive)LOWindicatorlightwill
come on and then go off in a few seconds.
The4WDLOWindicatorlightcomesonwhenthe
transfershiftknobissettolowposition(Part-time
4WD type : 4L position, Full-time 4WD type :
LOWposition).
(If installed)
When the key is turned to the "ON" position, the
4WD(Fourwheeldrive)systemwarninglightwill
come on and then go off in a few seconds.
TheSRSservicereminderindicator(SRI)comes
on and flashes for about 6 seconds after the
ignitionkeyisturnedtothe"ON"positionorafter
the engine is started, after which it will go out.
CAUTION:
Ifthe4WDsystemwarninglight(
)blinks
This light also comes on when the SRS is not
workingproperly.IftheSRIdoesnotcomeon,or
continuouslyremainsonafterflashingforabout
while driving, this indicates that there is a
malfunction in the 4WD system. If this oc-
curs,haveyourvehiclecheckedbyanautho-
rized Hyundai dealer as soon as possible.

4WD HIGH Indicator Light
(Part-time 4WD only)
When the key is turned to the "ON" position, the
4WD(FourWheelDrive)HIGHindicatorlightwill
come on and then go off in a few seconds.
The 4WD HIGH indicator light will illuminate
whenthetransfershiftknobissetto4Hposition.
"ON"positionorstartedtheengine,orifitcomes
on while driving, have the SRS inspected by an
authorizedHyundaiDealer.

Oil Temperature Warning Light

Malfunction Indicator Light
(If installed)
The A/T oil temperature warning light comes on
whentheautomatictransmissionoiltemperature
goes up to the temperature that may result in
seriousdamageofautomatictransmission.
If the A/T oil temperature warning light comes on
whiledriving,park your vehicle in at a safe place
as soon as possible. With the selector lever
shifted into "P" position, allow the engine to idle
untilthewarninglightgoesoff.Whenthewarning
lightgoesoff,thevehiclecanbedrivennormally.
CAUTION:
Thislightilluminateswhenthereisamalfunction
of an exhaust gas related component, and the
system is not functioning properly so that the
exhaust gas regulation values are not satisfied.
Thislightwillalsoilluminatewhentheignitionkey
is turned to the "ON" position, and will go out in a
fewseconds.Ifitilluminateswhiledriving,ordoes
notilluminatewhentheignitionkeyisturnedtothe
"ON" position, take your car to your nearest
authorized Hyundai dealer and have the system
checked.
