If the vehicle speed decreases more than 15
km/h (9 mph) below the set speed or de-
creases below 40 km/h (25 mph), the cruise
control system will automatically cancel the
setspeed.

Thevehiclewillautomaticallyresumethespeed
set prior to cancellation when you push the
controlswitch"RESUME(ACCEL)"andrelease
it to return (when travelling above 40 km/h).
1. Push the control button "SET (COAST)" and
holdit.Whilethecontrolswitchispushed,the
vehicle speed will gradually decrease.
2. Whenthedesiredspeedisobtained,release
the control button.

Keep the main switch off when not using
the cruise control.
Use the cruise control system only when
traveling on open highways in good
weather.

Todisengagethecruisecontrolsystem,pushthe
control switch "CANCEL".
Additionally,thefollowingactionswilldisengage
the system:

and hold it.

Accelerate to desired speed and release the
control switch. While the control switch is
held, the vehicle will gradually gain speed.

Depress the brake pedal.
Depressclutchpedal(Manualtransmission).
Shift the selector lever to "N" position (Auto-
matictransmission).
Decrease the vehicle speed lower than the
memorized speed by 15 km/h(9 mph).
Decrease the vehicle speed to less than 40
km/h(25mph).

Donotusethecruisecontrolwhenitmay
not be safe to keep the car at a constant
speed, for instance, driving in heavy or
varyingtraffic,oronslippery(rainy,icyor
snow-covered) or winding roads or over
