Neverusestronghouseholddetergentsorsoap,suchasdishwashing
orlaundryliquid.Theseproductscandiscolorandspotpainted
surfaces.

Neverwashavehiclethatis“hottothetouch”orduringexposureto
strong,directsunlight.
Alwaysuseacleanspongeorcarwashmittwithplentyofwaterfor
bestresults.
Drythevehiclewithachamoisorsoftterryclothtowelinorderto
eliminatewaterspotting.
Itisespeciallyimportanttowashthevehicleregularlyduringthe
wintermonths,asdirtandroadsaltaredifficulttoremoveandcause
damagetothevehicle.

Immediatelyremoveitemssuchasgasoline,dieselfuel,birddroppings
andinsectdepositsbecausetheycancausedamagetothevehicle’s
paintworkandtrimovertime.

ApplyingMotorcraftPaintSealant(ZC-45)toyourvehicleeverysix
monthswillassistinreducingminorscratchesandpaintdamage.

Donotusewaxesthatcontainabrasives;useMotorcraftPremium
LiquidWax(ZC-53-A),whichisavailablefromyourdealer,oran
equivalentqualityproduct.

Donotallowpaintsealanttocomeincontactwithanynon-body
(low-glossblack)coloredtrim,suchasgraineddoorhandles,roof
racks,bumpers,sidemoldings,mirrorhousingsorthewindshieldcowl
area.Thepaintsealantwill“gray”orstainthepartsovertime.

Yourdealerhastouch-uppaintandspraystomatchyourvehicle’scolor.
Takeyourcolorcode(printedonastickerinthedriver’sdoorjamb)to
yourdealertoensureyougetthecorrectcolor.
