hydroxidemaybepresentwhich
mayirritatetheskinandeyes,but
noneoftheresidueistoxic.
Whilethesystemisdesignedtohelp
reduceseriousinjuries,contactwith
adeployingairbagmayalsocauseabrasions,swellingortemporary
hearingloss.Becauseairbagsmustinflaterapidlyandwithconsiderable
force,thereistheriskofdeathorseriousinjuriessuchasfractures,
facialandeyeinjuriesorinternalinjuries,particularlytooccupantswho
arenotproperlyrestrainedorareotherwiseoutofpositionatthetime
ofairbagdeployment.Thus,itisextremelyimportantthatoccupantsbe
properlyrestrainedasfarawayfromtheairbagmoduleaspossiblewhile
maintainingvehiclecontrol.
WARNING: Severalairbagsystemcomponentsgethotafter
inflation.Donottouchthemafterinflationoryoumaybe
burned.
WARNING: Iftheairbagandsafetybeltpretensionershave
deployed,theairbagandsafetybeltpretensionerswillnot
functionagainandmustbereplacedimmediately.Iftheairbag
andsafetybeltpretensionersarenotreplaced,theunrepaired
areawillincreasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.
