ESPhasthefollowingoperatingmodes:

mentarilydepressthe“ESPControlSwitch”.Thiswill
restorethenormal“ESPOn”modeofoperation.

ESP On This is the normal operating mode for ESP.
WheneverthevehicleisstartedtheESPsystemwillbe
inthismode.Thismodeshouldbeusedforalmostall
driving situations. ESP should only be turned to
“PartialOff”forspecificreasonsasnotedbelow.
NOTE: Toimprovethevehicle’stractionwhendriving
withsnowchains,orstartingoffindeepsnow,sandor
gravel,itmaybedesirabletoswitchtothe“PartialOff”
mode by pressing the ESP switch. Once the situation
requiringESPtobeswitchedtothe“PartialOff”modeis
overcome,turnESPbackonbymomentarilydepressing 5
the “ESP Control Switch”. This may be done while the
vehicleisinmotion.

Partial Off This mode is entered by momentarily
depressingthe“ESPControlSwitch”.Whenin“Partial
Off” mode, the TCS portion of ESP, except for the
“limitedslip”featuredescribedintheTCSsection,has
beendisabledandthe“ESP/TCSIndicatorLight”will
be illuminated. All other stability features of ESP
functionnormally,withtheexceptionofenginepower
reduction. This mode is intended to be used if the
vehicleisindeepsnow,sandorgravelconditionsand
more wheel spin than ESP would normally allow is
ESP/BASWarningLampandESP/TCSIndicator
Light
ThemalfunctionindicatorfortheESPiscombinedwith
the BAS indicator. The yellow “ESP/BAS Warning
Lamp”andtheyellow“ESP/TCSIndicatorLight”inthe
instrument cluster both come on when the ignition
switchisturnedtothe“ON”position.Theyshouldboth
