The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) will
warn the driver of a low tire pressure if the tire
pressurefallsbelowthelowpressurewarningthresh-
oldforanyreason,includinglowtemperatureeffects.
TirePressureMonitoringBaseSystemwithout
ElectronicVehicleInformationCenter(EVIC)—If
Equipped
TheTirePressureMonitorSystem(TPMS)useswireless
technologywithwheelrimmountedelectronicsensorsto
monitor tire pressure levels (EXCLUDING THE SPARE
TIRE). Sensors, mounted to each wheel as part of the
valve stem, transmit tire pressure readings to the Re-
ceiverModule.
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) will
continuetowarnthedriveroflowtirepressureaslong
astheconditionexists,andwillnotturnoffuntilthe
tirepressureisatoraboverecommendedcoldplacard
pressure. Once the low tire pressure warning telltale
has been illuminated, the tire pressure must be in-
creasedtotherecommendedcoldplacardpressurein
orderfortheTirePressureMonitoringSystemwarning
telltaletobeturnedoff.Thesystemwillautomatically
update and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System
warningtelltalewillextinguishoncetheupdatedtire
pressureshavebeenreceived.

tirepressureinallofyourtiresregularlyandtoomain-
taintheproperpressure.
TheTirePressureMonitorSystem(TPMS)consistsofthe
followingcomponents:
• ReceiverModule
• 4WheelSensors
NOTE: The vehicle may need to be driven for up to 10
minutesabove15mph(25km/h)toreceivethisinformation.
