damaged, have a competent mechanic inspect the com-
pleteexhaustsystemandadjacentbodyareasforbroken,
damaged, deteriorated, or mispositioned parts. Open
seamsorlooseconnectionscouldpermitexhaustfumes
to seep into the passenger compartment. In addition,
inspecttheexhaustsystemeachtimethevehicleisraised
forlubricationoroilchange.Replaceasrequired.
CoolingSystem
WARNING!
• Whenconnectworkingthe fannearmotortheleadradiatoror turncoolingthefan,ignitiondis-
switchtotheOFFposition.Thefanistemperature
controlled and can start at any time the ignition
switchisintheONposition.
WARNING!
• Youorotherscanbebadlyburnedbyhotcoolant
or steam from your radiator. If you see or hear
steam coming from under the hood, don’t open
the hood until the radiator has had time to cool. 7
Never try to open a cooling system pressure cap
whentheradiatorishot.
Exhaustgasescaninjureorkill.Theycontaincarbon
monoxide (CO) which is colorless and odorless.
Breathing it can make you unconscious and can
eventuallypoisonyou.ToavoidbreathingCO,refer
to “Exhaust Gas” in the Safety Tips section of this
manual.
