INFLATING YOUR TIRES
Safeoperationofyourvehiclerequiresthatyourtiresareproperly

thantheothers,useatiregaugetocheckpressureofalltires,andadjust
ifrequired.Rememberthatatirecanloseuptohalfofitsairpressure
withoutappearingflat.
Atleastonceamonthandbeforelongtrips,inspecteachtireandcheck
thetirepressurewithatiregauge(includingspare,ifequipped).Inflate
alltirestotheinflationpressurerecommendedbyFordMotorCompany.

urgedtobuyareliabletirepressuregauge,asautomaticservicestation
gaugesmaybeinaccurate.FordMotorCompanyrecommendstheuseof
adigitalordial-typetirepressuregaugeratherthanastick-typetire
pressuregauge.
Usetherecommendedcoldinflationpressureforoptimumtire
performanceandwear.Under-inflationorover-inflationmaycause
uneventreadwearpatterns.
