TheTractionControlswitchis
locatedontheinstrumentpanel.
TheTractionControlsystemwill
automaticallyturnoneverytimethe
ignitionisturnedoffandon.The
TractionControlsystemshould
normallybelefton.
Ifyoushouldbecomestuckinsnow
oriceoronaveryslipperyroad
surface,tryswitchingtheTraction
Controlsystemoffbypressingthe
switchontheinstrumentpanel.SwitchingtheTractionControlsystem
offmayallowexcesswheelspinto“dig”thevehicleoutandenablea
successful“rocking”maneuver.WhentheTractionControlsystemis
off,anindicatorlightwillilluminateandwillremainonuntilthesystem
isturnedbackonortheignitionisturnedoffandon.
Ifasystemfaultisdetected,thetractioncontrolactivelightwill
illuminate,theTractionControlbuttonwillnotturnthesystemonor
offandyourvehicleshouldbeservicedbyanauthorizeddealer.

Neverholdthesteeringwheelatitsfurthestturningpoints(untilit
stops)formorethanafewsecondswhentheengineisrunning.
Donotoperatethevehiclewithalowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevel
(belowtheMINmarkonthereservoir).

Somenoiseisnormalduringoperation.Ifexcessive,checkforlow
powersteeringpumpfluidlevelbeforeseekingservicebyyour
authorizeddealer.

Heavyorunevensteeringeffortsmaybecausedbylowpowersteering
