Thisindicatorlightilluminateswhenthe
ignitionswitchisturnedtotheON
positionandgoesoffwhentheengineis
started.
Whenoperatingtheturnsignallights,the
leftorrightturnsignalindicatorlight
flashestoindicatewhichturnsignallight
isoperating(page5-54).
Ifthelightstaysilluminatedafterthe
engineisstartedorilluminateswhile
driving,turnofftheengineafterparking
inasafeplace,andthenstarttheengine
again.
Ifthelightdoesnotilluminateafter
restartingtheengine,thisindicatesthat
thepowersteeringisrestoredandnormal
steeringispossible.
Whenoperatingthehazardwarning
lights,bothturnsignalindicatorlights
flash(page5-61).
NOTE
Ifanindicatorlightremainsilluminated(does
notflash)orifitflashesabnormally,oneofthe
turnsignalbulbsmaybeburnedout.
Ifthelightremainsilluminated,thepower
steeringisstillinoperable.Consultan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
NOTE
Thepowersteeringsystemisinoperablewhen
thepowersteeringmalfunctionindicatorlight
illuminates.Steeringispossible,butrequires
morephysicaleffort.
