COOLANTWHENTHEENGINEISHOT:
Ahotengineisdangerous.Ifthe
enginehasbeenrunning,partsofthe
enginecompartmentcanbecome
veryhot.Youcouldbeburned.
Carefullyinspecttheenginecoolant
inthecoolantreservoir,butdonot
openit.
Inspecttheconditionandconnectionsof
allcoolingsystemandheaterhoses.
Replaceanythatareswollenor
deteriorated.
Thecoolantshouldbeatfullinthe
radiatorandbetweentheMAXorFand
MINorLmarksonthecoolantreservoir
whentheengineiscool.
Without turbocharger
Turnofftheignitionswitchand
makesurethefanisnotrunningbefore
attemptingtoworknearthecooling
fan:
Workingnearthecoolingfanwhenit
isrunningisdangerous.Thefan
couldcontinuerunningindefinitely
eveniftheenginehasstoppedand
theenginecompartmenttemperature
ishigh.Youcouldbehitbythefan
andseriouslyinjured.
With turbocharger
Donotremovethecooling
systemcapwhentheengineand
radiatorarehot:
Whentheengineandradiatorare
hot,scaldingcoolantandsteammay
shootoutunderpressureandcause
seriousinjury.
NOTE
Changingthecoolantshouldbedonebyan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
Ifit'satornearMINorL,addenough
coolanttothecoolantreservoirtoprovide
freezingandcorrosionprotectionandto
bringtheleveltoMAXorF.
