Ifyoucannotputallchildrenintherear
seat,atleastputthesmallestchildrenin
therearandbesurethelargestchildup
frontusestheshoulderbeltoverthe
shoulder.
NEVERputarear-facingchild-restraint
systemonthefrontpassengerseat,even
withaseatweightsensorequipped
vehicle.
Thisseatisalsonotsetupfortethered
child-restraintsystems,puttheminoneof
therearseatpositionssetupwithtether
anchors.
LikewisetheLATCHchild-restraint
systemcannotbesecuredinthefront
passenger'sseatandshouldbeusedinthe
rearseat.
Donotallowanyonetosleepagainstthe
sidewindowifyouhaveanoptionalside
andcurtainairbag,itcouldcauseserious
injuriestoanoutofpositionoccupant.As
childrenmoreoftensleepincars,itis
bettertoputthemintherearseat.If
installingthechild-restraintsystemonthe
frontseatisunavoidable,followthese
instructionswhenusingafront-facing
child-restraintsysteminthefront
passenger'sseat.
Evenifthefrontpassengerairbag
deactivationindicatorlight
illuminates,alwaysmovetheseatas
farbackaspossible,becausethe
forceofadeployingairbagcould
causeseriousinjuryordeathtothe
child.
Neverusearear-facingchild-restraint
systeminthefrontseatwithanairbag
thatcoulddeploy:
Rear-facingchild-restraintsystems
onthefrontseatareparticularly
dangerous.
Eveninamoderatecollision,the
child-restraintsystemcanbehitbya
deployingairbagandmoved
violentlybackwardresultingin
seriousinjuryordeathtothechild.
Eventhoughyoumayfeelassured
thatthefrontpassengerairbagwill
notdeploybasedonthefactthatthe
frontpassengerairbagdeactivation
indicatorlightilluminates.
