Press the MENU button until Personal Settings NOTE: Keepmagneticmaterialsawayfromthetopof
(Customer-ProgrammableFeatures)menuisreached.
Press the STEP button until “Calibrate Compass” is
displayedintheEVIC.
PressandreleasetheRESETbuttontostartthecalibra-
tion.The“CAL”indicatorwillbedisplayedintheEVIC.
Complete one or more 360–degree turns (in an area
freefromlargemetalormetallicobjects)untilthe“CAL”
indicator turns off. The compass will now function
normally.

CompassVariance
Compass Variance is the difference between Magnetic
North and Geographic North. To compensate for the
differences,thevarianceshouldbesetforthezonewhere
the vehicle is driven, per the zone map. Once properly
set, the compass will automatically compensate for the
differences, and provide the most accurate compass
heading.Forthemostaccuratecompassperformance,the
compassmustbesetusingthefollowingsteps.
