can select the individual vehicle functions
by slidingZVÆ or rotatingcVd and
confirming the selection withW.

The following sections always describe
approach 1.
You must make sure no one can become
trapped or injured by the moving steering
wheel and driver’s seat when the easy-entry/
exit feature is activated.
Extending or retracting rear window
sunshade
To stop seat/steering wheel movement, do
one of the following:
RPress seat adjustment switch.

of COMAND can be found on (Y page 76).
RMove steering wheel adjustment stalk.
This function is used to extend or retract the
rear sunshade.
RPress one of the memory position buttons
or the memory button M.
G Warning!
Do not leave children unattended in the
vehicle, or with access to an unlocked vehicle.
Children could open the driver’s door and
unintentionally activate the easy-entry/exit
feature, which could result in an accident
and/or serious personal injury.
When operating the rear window sunshade,
be sure that there is no danger of anyone
being harmed by the extending or retracting
procedure.
i At temperatures below -4‡ (-20†), the
rear window sunshade is switched off.
Use this function to have the steering wheel
move up and/or the driver’s seat move back
when entering the vehicle. You select the
following settings:
ROFF, the easy-entry/exit function is
switched off
RSteering Column, the steering wheel
moves up
RSteering Column and Seat, the steering
wheel moves up and the driver’s seat
moves back
X SelectVehicle.
The main area is active.
X Selecting Rear Window Sunshade
function: SlideXVY or rotatecVd.
X Opening/closing rear window
sunshade: PressW.
