systemcouldbecompromised,seekservicefromyourdealer
immediately.

brakemastercylinderarepartof
thesamesystem;botharerefillable
throughthebrakemastercylinder
withbrakefluid.Formore

thischapter.
Brakefluidistoxic.Ifbrakefluidcontactstheeyes,flusheyes
withrunningwaterfor15minutes.Seekmedicalifirritation
persists.Iftakeninternally,drinkwaterandinducevomiting.Seek
medicalattentionimmediately.
TRANSMISSION FLUID
Checking automatic transmission fluid
Refertoyourscheduledmaintenanceguideforscheduledintervalsfor
fluidchecksandchanges.Yourtransaxledoesnotconsumefluid.
However,thefluidlevelshouldbecheckedifthetransaxleisnotworking
properly,i.e.,ifthetransaxleslipsorshiftsslowlyorifyounoticesome
signoffluidleakage.
Automatictransmissionfluidexpandswhenwarmed.Toobtainan
accuratefluidcheck,drivethevehicleuntilitiswarmedup
(approximately30km[20miles]).Ifyourvehiclehasbeenoperated
foranextendedperiodathighspeeds,incitytrafficduringhot
