Locking the doors
1.
Press
andreleasetolockallthedoors.Onvehiclesequippedwith
thedriver’sdooronlyremoteentrysystem,onlythedriver’sdoorwill
lock.Note:theinteriorlampswillturnoff.
2.
Onvehicleswiththeall-doorremoteentry,press
andreleaseagain
withinthreesecondstoconfirmthatallthedoorsareclosedandlocked.
Note:thedoorswilllockagain,thehornwillchirponceandthe
headlampswillflash.
Ifanyofthedoorsarenotproperlyclosedthehornwillmaketwoquick
chirps.
Thisprocesswillalsoactivatethevehicle’santi-theftsystem(if
equipped).Formoreinformationonarmingtheanti-theftsystem,refer
toAnti-theftsysteminthischapter.
Openingthetrunk
Press
oncetoopenthetrunk.
Ensurethatthetrunkisclosedandlatchedbeforedrivingyour
vehicle.Failuretoproperlylatchthetrunkmaycauseobjectstofall
outorblockthedriver’srearview.
Sounding a panic alarm
Press
toactivatethealarm.PressagainorturntheignitiontoACC
orONtodeactivate.
Note:ThepanicalarmwillonlyoperatewhentheignitionisintheOFF
position.
Replacing the battery
Theremoteentrytransmitterusesonecointypethree-voltlithium
batteryCR2032orequivalent.Thetypicaloperatingrangeforyour
remoteentrytransmitterisapproximately10meters(33feet).A
decreaseintheoperatingrangecouldbecausedby:
weatherconditions,
nearbyradiotowers,
structuresaroundthevehicleand
othervehiclesparkednexttothevehicle.
