Theairconditioningcompressorcanoperateinallmodesexcept

Sincetheairconditionerremovesconsiderablemoisturefromtheair
duringoperation,itisnormalifclearwaterdripsonthegroundunder
theairconditionerdrainwhilethesystemisworkingandevenafteryou
havestoppedthevehicle.
MAXA/C–Usesrecirculatedairtocoolthevehicle.MAXA/Cisnoisier
thanA/Cbutmoreeconomicalandwillcooltheinsideofthevehicle
faster.Airflowwillbefromtheinstrumentpanelregisters.Thismode
canalsobeusedtopreventundesirableodorsfromenteringthevehicle.
A/C–Usesoutsideairtocoolthevehicle.ItisquieterthanMAXA/Cbut
notaseconomical.Airflowwillbefromtheinstrumentpanelregisters.
(Panel)–Distributesoutsideairthroughtheinstrumentpanel
registers.However,theairwillnotbecooledbelowtheoutside
temperaturebecausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperateinthismode.
OFF–Outsideairisshutoutandthefanwillnotoperate.Forshort
periodsoftimeonly,usethismodetopreventundesirableodorsfrom
enteringthevehicle.
(Panelandfloor)–Distributesoutsideairthroughthe
instrumentpanelregistersandthefloorducts.Heatingandair
conditioningcapabilitiesareprovidedinthismode.Foradded
customercomfort,whenthetemperaturecontrolknobisanywherein
betweenthefullhotandfullcoldpositions,theairdistributedthrough
thefloorductswillbeslightlywarmerthantheairsenttothe
instrumentpanelregisters.
