RETURNING THE SEAT TO  THE UPRIGHT POSITION
Checktoseethattheseatandseatbackislatchedsecurelyin
position.Keepfloorareafreeofobjectsthatwouldprevent
properseatengagement.Neverattempttoadjusttheseatwhilethe
vehicleisinmotion.
Toreturntheseattotheupright/normalseatingposition:

Rotateseatupwardandlatch.
Thefullrearbenchseatisshown.Thesplit-foldingrearseat(if
equipped)operatesinasimilarmanner.
SAFETY RESTRAINTS

Alwaysdriveandridewithyourseatbackuprightandthelap
beltsnugandlowacrossthehips.
Toreducetheriskofinjury,makesurechildrensitwherethey
canbeproperlyrestrained.
Neverletapassengerholdachildonhisorherlapwhilethe
vehicleismoving.Thepassengercannotprotectthechildfrom
injuryinacollision.
Alloccupantsofthevehicle,includingthedriver,shouldalways
properlyweartheirsafetybelts,evenwhenanairbag(SRS)is
provided.
Itisextremelydangeroustorideinacargoarea,insideor
outsideofavehicle.Inacollision,peopleridingintheseareas
aremorelikelytobeseriouslyinjuredorkilled.Donotallowpeopleto
rideinanyareaofyourvehiclethatisnotequippedwithseatsand
safetybelts.Besureeveryoneinyourvehicleisinaseatandusinga
safetybeltproperly.
