driversidewiperarmfirst.Conversely,
whensettingdownthewiperarms,set
thepassengersidewiperarmdown
first.
Hotwaxesappliedbyautomaticcar
washershavebeenknowntoaffect
thewiper'sabilitytocleanwindows.

Topreventdamagetothewiper
blades,don'tusegasoline,kerosene,
paintthinner,orothersolventsonor
nearthem.

Raisethewiperarmandturntheblade
assemblytoexposetheplasticlocking
clip.
Contaminationofeitherthewindshieldor
thebladeswithforeignmattercanreduce
wipereffectiveness.Commonsourcesare
insects,treesap,andhotwaxtreatments
usedbysomecommercialcarwashes.
Compresstheclipandslidethe
assemblydownward;thenliftitoffthe
arm.
Ifthebladesarenotwipingproperly,
cleanthewindowandbladeswithagood
cleanerormilddetergent;thenrinse
thoroughlywithcleanwater.Repeatif
necessary.

Plastic locking clip
Whenthewipersnolongercleanwell,the
bladesareprobablywornorcracked.
Replacethem.
