SteeringShaftSeal
WARNING!
Thesteeringshaftseal,atthepointwheretheshaftpasses
throughthebulkhead,islubricatedwhenitisinstalled.If
thesealbecomesnoisywhenthesteeringshaftisturned,
it should be lubricated with a multi-purpose grease.
Moparmulti-purposelubricantisrecommended.
Fluidlevelshouldbecheckedonalevelsurfaceand
with the engine off to prevent injury from moving
partsandtoinsureaccuratefluidlevelreading.Do
not overfill. Use only manufacturers recommended
powersteeringfluid.
SteeringLinkage
Thetierodendballjointsarepermanentlylubricatedand
donotrequireperiodicmaintenance.
Ifnecessary,addfluidtorestoretotheproperindicated
level.Withacleancloth,wipeanyspilledfluidfromall
surfaces.RefertoFluids,Lubricants,andGenuineParts
forcorrectfluidtype.
DriveShaftUniversalJoints
Yourvehiclehasconstantvelocityuniversaljoints.Peri-
odiclubricationofthesejointsisnotrequired.However,
thejointbootsshouldbeinspectedforexternalleakageor
damagewhenothermaintenanceisperformed.Ifleakage
ordamageisevident,theuniversaljointbootandgrease
shouldbereplacedimmediately.

Front&RearSuspensionBallJoints
The suspension ball joints are permanently sealed. No
regularmaintenanceisrequiredforthesecomponents.
