EMISSIONCONTROLSYSTEMMAINTENANCE
The “Scheduled” maintenance services, listed in bold
typemustbedoneatthetimesormileagesspecifiedto
assurethecontinuedproperfunctioningoftheemission
controlsystem.These,andallothermaintenanceservices
includedinthismanual,shouldbedonetoprovidebest
vehicleperformanceandreliability.Morefrequentmain-
tenancemaybeneededforvehiclesinsevereoperating
conditions such as dusty areas and very  short trip
driving.

malfunctionissuspected.

NOTE: Maintenance,replacement,orrepairoftheemis-
sioncontroldevicesandsystemsonyourvehiclemaybe
performed by any automotive repair establishment or
individual using any automotive part which has been
certifiedpursuanttoU.S.EPAor,intheStateofCalifor-
nia,CaliforniaAirResourcesBoardregulations.
• Shorttripsoflessthan10miles(16km).
